Atlas founder and Chief Investment Officer, Jonathan (Jono) Tunney, brings deep and broad expertise to bear on global economic analysis, asset allocation, business valuation, portfolio design, and risk management. His experience includes responsibility for worldwide currency risk management and more than $100 billion in annual foreign exchange transactions as Director of Foreign Exchange for Hewlett Packard. He also has experience in treasury, corporate finance and strategic planning, including valuation, deal-structuring and negotiations for equity investments and acquisitions, and tax strategy and dividend policy analysis. He holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University, an MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at UCLA, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Albert J. Gutierrez is a partner at Atlas Capital Advisors. Bert joined in August 2010 and brings over 25 years of extensive capital markets experience to the firm. Bert’s background includes several executive positions at multi-billion dollar institutional investment advisors. He was Chief investment Officer at SCM Advisors, Executive Vice President of portfolio management and trading at American General Investment Management, and Senior Vice President responsible for research, trading and insurance asset management at Conseco Capital Management. Bert received a BS in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Scott Bilter brings 14 years of capital markets experience to the Atlas team. He has held a number of executive positions with Hewlett Packard, including VP of Corporate Finance and Foreign Exchange, and VP of Worldwide Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to these roles, Scott was VP of foreign Exchange Sales at Merrill Lynch. Areas of expertise in the corporate landscape include FX and interest rate hedging strategy, debt issuance, stock repurchase, capital strategy and financial planning. Additionally, Scott brings insight into global markets through his understanding of behavioral finance concepts, credit cycles, and demographics. Scott holds a BA in quantitative Economics from Stanford University, an MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at UCLA, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
William Preston Raisin joined Atlas Capital as partner and investment advisor in September 2011, bringing 26 years of Wall Street and money management experience to the firm. Preston began his career building a book of high net worth clients at Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1986 through 1988, then spent four intensive years managing money under the Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette research platform. He joined First Boston in 1992, then joined Bear Stearns in 1995, becoming one of their youngest partners. Preston holds a B.A. of English Literature from UCLA.
Michelle joined Atlas Capital from Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, where she was a Senior Financial Advisor. Her experience includes values-based planning, asset allocation, pre-IPO planning, concentrated stock positions, and Rule 144 securities. Michelle received a B.S. in Development Sociology from Cornell University and an M.A. in Demography from UC Berkeley. She is a CFA Level 2 candidate.
